Next Generation Tire Dressing is a long-lasting non-silicone tire dressing designed to produce a high gloss shine on any tire.  Next Generation will quickly dry without producing a sticky finish, therefore attracting less dust.  Next Generation is ready to use and is fortified with a special blend of ingredients to make a tire shine near impossible to sling off and onto the body. Next Generation is guaranteed not to sling and helps prevent tires from cracking or becoming discolored.
Next Generation can be applied by directly spraying it onto the tire or with a foam applicator. We recommend applying Next Generation with our foam tire applicator to produce the evenest shine without creating an overspray. By applying Next Generation with a foam applicator, you will also have no product waste.
Next Generation should never be applied to the engine components. Greenway's
Protect It All
is great for engine detailing and wheel well detailing as it is non-silicone, cost-effective, and will not attract dust.
How To Use:
The common complaint that users have is tire dressing sling.  Tire dressing sling is very time consuming to clean up and can lead to the staining of exterior components.  The issue is that most users do not know how to apply a tire dressing properly.
Next Generation dressing, just like any other dressing, will not adhere to a dirty surface.  Surface preparation is the most important part of the entire process. Using a degreaser is the best method to ensure the complete removal of any residue on the tire surface. Without 100 percent removal of all surface contamination, any tire shine, whether water-based, non-silicone, or solvent-based, will sling.
The most common issue we see is that the user is unaware of a mold release typically still on the tire and never removed before the tire dressing.  A tire mold release will not allow any dressing to stick to the tire properly and result in a dressing sling.
We suggest using our
Tar B Gone
to remove any mold release from the tire sidewall.  If you do not have a mold release still present on your tire, do NOT use Greenway’s Tar B Gone.  Use one of Greenway’s premium degreasers to remove any residue.
Tires containing mold release procedure:
If tires are already mounted on a vehicle and have been driven on, use one of our premium degreasers to remove most grime.
Spray tire and all surrounding areas with water using a high-pressure wash or garden hose.
Apply one of our premium degreasers and let dwell for approximately 30 seconds.
Scrub with still bristle tire brush and rinse adequately with water.
Allow all tires to dry and proceed with using
Greenway’s
Tar B Gone
.
Apply to the tire by spraying directly onto the tire.  If you have low profile tires, we suggest using an applicator to apply
Greenway’s Tar B Gone
. A towel can be used but will absorb much of the product.
Scrub with tire brush or terry towel. Using a microfiber towel will not give the “cut” a terry towel can.
Repeat process if the film can be felt or seen on the tire.
Rinse thoroughly with water.
Tires
NOT
containing mold release:
Spray tire and all surrounding areas with water using a high-pressure wash or garden hose.
Apply one of our premium degreasers and let dwell for approximately 30 seconds.
Scrub with stiff bristle tire brush and rinse adequately with water. We suggest having the appropriate wheel cleaning brushes in a bucket filled with water.  This will help create a foaming lather and spread the wheel cleaner on the sidewall.
Allow airing dry.
Check to make sure all residue is removed. Tires should have a new natural look to them. Brown looking tires or tire sidewalls that produce dirt on your fingertip when touched needed to be cleaned a second time.
Spray tire dressing onto applicator pad and apply onto the tire. Spraying a solvent silicone-based dressing directly on the tire will most likely create an overspray on vehicle components.
Tech Tip:
Tire surface preparation is the most important step. Simply spraying a degreaser onto the tire and pressure washing off is not adequate. Tire scrubbing with a stiff tire brush needs to occur for the product to adhere.
Spraying Next Generation onto the tire will not only cause overspray, but driveway staining and slickness can occur. A “ring” will be formed on the customer's driveway, which will be extremely difficult to remove and remain slick, especially during rainstorms.
Never use silicone in or around a body shop. Silicone will cause paint defects.
Next Generation should not be used on engines. Use Protect It All as it does not contain silicone and will not attract dust.
Next Generation should not be used on exterior plastics.  While many users like a high shine on plastic trim, Next Generation will leave a sticky/tacky finish. We suggest using
Protect It All
or
Finishing Touch
to obtain your perfect shine.
Protect It All
will give a new clean look, while
Finishing Touch
will leave a higher gloss.
Use
Protect It All
when dressing large wheel well areas.  Using the Next Generation will cost more money and allow debris to become stuck to the wheel well liner.
Always buff down any “pooling” that occurs on top of the tire sidewall. Smooth out the dressing with a clean applicator or a microfiber towel to ensure the excess dressing is not present on the sidewall surface. This will ensure all tire dressing is absorbed into the tire, and no tire sling can occur.
Always allow a dressing to “setup.”  Typically, a full gloss appearance can take several minutes to appear.
Load Range tires C (6 plies), D (8 plies), and E (10 plies) can be more difficult to dress. A second coat might be needed.  These tires are usually found among heavier vehicles such as large SUVs and pickup trucks.
Never use Next Generation on the inside of a vehicle. This product will cause extreme glare and slipperiness.
Using Next Generation on plastic and vinyl components outside of the vehicle will cause paint contamination once rain occurs.  The product will run down the vehicle's sides and then be transferred into the vehicle wash bucket and mitt.  Wash bucket and mitt will become ruined, and suds will be FOREVER reduced significantly in the wash bucket. You will “chase” the residue as the sticky substance will move among the vehicle surface. Another vehicle wash might have to be completed with a new bucket and wash mitt to remove contamination.
